The City Tour in Cusco is a must-visit destination in Peru. During this tour, you will discover the most significant structures throughout the Inka Empire, including the king’s residence—an architectural marvel—and Sacsaywaman, known for its enormous stones. The City Tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel at 1:30 pm, followed by visits to the city and nearby archaeological sites. Our first stop is Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), regarded as the most exquisite temple of the empire and the residence of the Inka. Next, we proceed to Sacsayhuaman, a stunning example of Inca megalithic architecture, renowned for its artistic perfection that seems to be a gift from the gods. Following this, we explore the sacred site of Q’enqo, filled with numerous ancient carvings that only the Andeans of old could fully comprehend. Afterward, we will visit the walls of Puca Pucara, characterized by unique designs that reflect the authority this site once commanded. Finally, we conclude our journey at Tambomach’ay, a temple dedicated to water, showcasing its crystal-clear springs and providing a majestic farewell before returning to the city of Cusco.
